Lesco TR Surcharge: It is the Tariff Rationalization Surcharge. The TR Surcharge has to do with NEPRA and GOP tariffs. NEPRA will set a tariff for all distribution companies, and the government will announce a standard tariff. The TR stands for the difference between NEPRA and GOP tariffs. If the difference is positive, GOP will pay it as a “Subsidy.” If the differential is negative, the Distribution Company will pay GOP an “Inter DISCO Tariff Rationalization Surcharge (IDTR SUR)”.
